| 2008 Food Network South Beach Wine & Food festival was held from February 21 -February 24, 08. This food festival has become one of the national festivals in the USA. This food festival is attended by many celebrities. This four day event gives the participants a chance to taste the famous wines of the world. 2008 Food Network South Beach Wine & Food festival is hosted by Florida International University and Southern Wine and Spirit Beverage Center of Florida. This festival is a great help to the Southern Wine and Spirits Beverage Center and Tourism Management Teaching Restaurant.

In the 2008 Food Network South Beach Wine & Food Festival, stalwarts of food and wine industry thronged on the Miami Beach. The student of Florida International University also got a chance to gather first hand experience on various aspects of hospitality industry by participating in this festival. Burger bash was celebrated as a part of this festival on its first day. This was held between 7 PM-10 PM at the Ritz-Carlton, South Beach, One Lincon Road, Miami Beach.
The light burger bash was attended by a host of renowned chefs. These chefs have come from various well known restaurants and steak houses. Paula's poker party and casino night were held on the first day of the festival. This party was held from 10 PM -2.AM. Entry ticket of this gala event was $150. Taxes and service fees are not included within the price. This event was sponsored in the style of Las Vegas' casino party.
This party was organized with the help from Tunica a casino in Harrah. The money collected from this party will go in the fund of School of Hospitality and Tourism Management of Florida International University. Guests tried their luck in different casino games like poker, roulette and blackjack. The games of that night started from $5,000.
D' Vine Divas is one of the major events of 2008 Food Network South Beach Wine & Food Festival. This was held on February21 at Country Club Ballroom at Baltimore, 1200 Anastasia Avenue, Coral gables. This event featured only the women.
Parking facility
Elaborate arrangement of parking was made for the guests attending the 2008 Food Network South Beach Wine & Food Festival. Garages were available for keeping the cars in the following garages:
- 13th Street Garage ½ block east of Collins on 13th 15th street to Dade Boulevard Center Jackie Gleason -City Hall Lincoln Road.
- 12th Street Garage ½ block west of Washington
- 7th Street Garage Washington and Collins
Valet parking was also available on the occasion of 2008 Food Network South Beach Wine & Food Festival. This was available on the west side of 10th and ocean Dr. street. The cost of valet parking for every car was $15.00.
