Buttery Buttermilk Biscuits

Homemade biscuits are a treat for the senses-the aroma of freshly baked biscuits filling the kitchen is a delightful childhood memory for many. With today's fast-paced lifestyle, baking biscuits at home seems like an indulgence, but they are actually easy and quick to make. 'Buttery Buttermilk Biscuits' is one such quick biscuit recipe.

The ingredients for 'Buttery Buttermilk Biscuits' are few-two cups of flour, two tablespoons of baking powder, one stick of of unsalted butter, three-fourth cups of buttermilk and one teaspoon of salt.
The first step to making 'Buttery Buttermilk Biscuits' is to prepare the butter. The stick of butter is to be cut out into one-fourth inch cubes. In a large bowl, the flour and the baking powder is mixed well and then the butter folded in. One may use their hands to make the dough or use a food processor. When the mixture becomes coarse to feel, gently add the buttermilk. When a soft dough has been made, roll it out, about half inches thick, on a work surface that has been sprinkled with flour. The dough can also be wrapped in plastic and refrigerated for half an hour to make the biscuits more crisp. Use a biscuit cutter, which is 2 ½ to 3 inches in size, to cut out shapes for the biscuit. The cutter should be lightly floured and dipped in flour every time, when cutting out the biscuits. The biscuits are then to be placed on a baking tray that has been lined with parchment paper. The excess dough, that is left after cutting out, can be rolled again and laid out to make more biscuits. The biscuits are to be baked at 425 degrees for about twenty minutes. After taking them out from the oven, take two tablespoons of melted butter and brush it generously on the hot biscuits. The 'Buttery Buttermilk Biscuits' are now ready to be served.

'Buttery Buttermilk Biscuits' is an easy quick-bread recipe. The richness of the butter makes the biscuits melt in your mouth. These biscuits can be served with the afternoon tea. They are an instant favorite with the kids. If time at hand is limited you can prepare the dough and refrigerate it and then bake the biscuits afterwards. Just make sure the dough is brought to room temperature. Enjoy the biscuits with your entire family.
