Tortilla–Corn Bread Dressing

Tortilla–corn bread dressing is a very delicious food and it is prepared on a special occasion. You can also prepare tortilla–corn bread dressing in your home as it hardly takes around one hour and 30 minutes to prepare. People like the entire dressing of tortilla-corn. You can prepare this in your home and make your kids surprised. This will be also a great surprise for your family members on the festive season. Ingredients for Tortilla–Corn Bread Dressing:

6 cups crumbled skillet corn bread or store-bought corn bread
Vegetable oil for frying fourteen 6-inches of corn tortillas, halved and cut into 1/4-inch of strips
1 tablespoon of minced cilantro
2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil for the baking dish
1 large onion, cut into 1/4-inch dice
2 celery ribs, cut into 1/4-inch dice
2 minced garlic
Cloves
2 teaspoons of chili powder
1 large seeded and minced jalapeño
2 teaspoons finely chopped sage
Kosher salt according to taste
2 teaspoons finely chopped thyme(Herb)
1 quart of tortilla broth

Preparation process of Tortilla–Corn Bread Dressing:

To prepare this, heat 2 inches of vegetable oil into a pan. After that, fry the tortilla strips into it over moderately high heat. If the strips look golden and crisp, drain it out and put them in a separate bowl. Then add the corn bread to this.

After this, take a deep frying pan and add 2 tablespoons of olive oil into it. Add the chopped onion and celery leaves to it. Cook over moderate heat until softened the entire ingredients. Then, add jalapeño, garlic into the pan and cook until a good fragrance comes out. After that, add cilantro, thyme, sage, chili powder into the pan and cook for one minute.

After stirring these ingredients, add the tortilla broth to the pan and cook it over a moderate heat. Leave this for some minutes. Pour this mixture over the tortilla strips and corn bread. Add salt to it and toss it gently. Keep this for 30 minutes in a normal home temperature.
