Toasted Pumpkin Seeds

When the fall season starts approaching, pumpkins are greatly available at the markets. You can not only enjoy the pumpkin fruit, in fact, you can enjoy a great snack made out of the pumpkin seeds too. Munching on Toasted Pumpkin Seeds is appetizing. There are no extra ingredients required as such to prepare Toasted Pumpkin Seeds. All you will need require besides a medium sized pumpkin, is some salt for flavoring and a tablespoon of olive oil.
Method of Preparing Toasted Pumpkin Seeds

Pre-heat an oven to about a 400°F. Slice the pumpkin. Use a spoon to separate the seeds from the pumkin. Rinse the seeds clean.

Using a small saucepan, bring some amount of water to a boil. For every half cup of seeds, add about to 2 cups of water. Keep the water with the seeds for boiling. Let the combination simmer for about a 10 minutes.
After this bring down the vessel form the fire. Drain the water.
Spread out about a tablespoon of olive oil over the base of a roasting pan.
Start spreading out the seeds over the bas of the roasting pan. See to it that you do this in a single layer.
Transfer the pumpkin seeds to the pre – heated oven. Place them on the top rack of the oven for about a 20 minutes. You can leave them for toasting till they start turning a golden brown. When they have turned a color of your preference remove them form the oven and leave the pan for cooling This will allow the pumpkin seeds to cool. See that the seeds are fully cooled before you start popping them in your mouth.

Either crack the coating to remove the seed from within or eat them whole. Food and wine are known to complement each other.
